Other things to do?
- Does your family not share your passion for railways (both large and small)?
- Does your family, horror of horrors, actually like shopping?
- Does your family like a day in the countryside?
- Does your family like looking at buildings?
- Does your family like textiles?
- Does your family like museums?
- Does the domestic authority frown on all things railway related?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes then you can happily fit in
the Scale Rail show and leave the family to pursue their passion whilst
we pursue ours.
There are many things to do and enjoy whilst at New Lanark which are not railway
or railway model related. Its one of the reasons why we choose New Lanark to
hold our show the area features:-
- A world heritage village.
- Millennium Experience.
- Woollen Mill.
- A large part of the early history of the co-op movement.
- The first school free to all employees children.
- Mill Hotel.
- Beautiful scenery.
- Walks to the nearby Falls of Clyde.
